"Starting a cold engine"
1. Set the parking brake (Starter will not work if you do not do this)
2. Turn on fuel valve (if your atv has one)
3.Check Fuel level in fuel tank. (Check Oil Level every day before you start engine)
4. Turn Emergency stop switch on left handle bar to "RUN"
5. Shift transmission gear to Neutral (if your atv has a gear shift)
6. Set the choke to "ON" position, If Engine is warm leave choke off (see Notes for your ATV)
7. Turn "ON" key switch (On the small ATV'S make sure the kill switch on back of atv is in place)
8. Push Starter button (if engine tries to start push throttle lever down some)
9. If engine starts, (run with choke on for a time then as engine warms up start turning choke back to 1/2 closed.)
10. 4 cycle engines take time to warm up, if engine is running rich, running rough (back choke off some)
11. If Engine does fails to start, release start button after 10 seconds.
12. Wait a min. and try again, (You can damage starter and kill battery if you try to start for to long a time)
13. If engine does not try to start, turn off choke and hold throttle down and try it.
14. If Engine still does not start you may need to check or change spark plug.
15. When engine starts let it run for 5 Min. before riding.
NOTE: Use good gas, do not let gas set in a gas container for a long time, make sure not to get water or dirt in fuel. DO NOT PUT FUEL IN A ATV WHEN ENGINE IS HOT!! If you "spill gas" when fueling !!DO NOT TRY TO START ENGINE, WIPE OF SPILLED GAS AND WAIT FOR A TIME BEFORE STARTING!!.
NOTE ON CHOKES:
Hawk 70 has a choke lever on left side of handle bar at bottom of switch assy. All the way to left is on choke.
ATV-70 & ATV-110 Mini-Hunter has a choke lever on Carb. up is on choke
FSN-110 Utility & Fushin ATV-110 Has a choke knob on left side. Pull all the way out for on choke
110cc Cougar, Falcon & other larger ATV'S have lever on Carb. Up is on choke
